About Reclaimed Ltd

We are a reclaimed wood specialists which holds its origins in Redbridge Demolition which was based in Leytonstone for fifty years.

Over time they developed a London based market for salvaged building materials, in particular floorboards, doors, bricks and structural timbers. Some twenty years ago Reclaimed Ltd acquired the assets of Redbridge Demolition upon the retirement of the owner.

To refine the business we decided to concentrate on selling reclaimed timber and to drop all other architectural salvage. Growth came from developing a strong web presence which gave us exposure to a nationwide marketplace. Ten years ago we outgrew our original Leytonstone site moving to our current Sewardstone location.

Web exposure also gave us access to exiting new sources of different timbers from across Europe, Turkey and the USA all of which have proved popular with our growing customer base both domestically and international.

Today in our three warehouses we hold one of the largest and most diverse ranges of reclaimed timbers in the country, combined with the ability to mill to order we have become one of the UK leading suppliers.

Reclaimed Ltd is a company with a passionate interest in reusing high quality old timbers. Our strong commitment is to salvage good wood, give it a second life and promote the environmental benefits in recycling. Today’s marketplace shows a spiralling demand for reclaimed timber, most of which was shipped to the UK from colonies and commonwealth lands before sustainable sources were available.

Much of today’s demand is for high grade flooring, wall cladding and joinery material where antique wood holds the illusive quality of character. From carefully selected sources from around the world we obtain our main stock of floorboard’s and roof boards, often from buildings which are being demolished after a lifetime of use.

These boards are de-nailed and graded for stock, and held in our warehouses until orders are placed. Customer’s individual requirements for timber type and colour, width, thickness and patina can normally be accommodated. We also reclaim industrial joists and beams into extra wide boards or joinery stock.

Bulk timbers such as French oak, thick roof boards and joists are re sawn to provide boards of a usable thickness and provide the alternative of old or new surfaces. We strongly recommend visiting our showroom to view the extensive range of timbers and finishes that are available.

We further recommend that for patching or extending old floors that a sample is brought for our inspection and cross matching. Our strength lies in the depth and variety of stock that we hold, which rarely fails to provide a product to suits customers’ needs.
